Winter term of 2026 was incredibly busy for me. Two of the things that came out of this time were my first self-produced videos. I collaborated with my peers for both videos, one a dance film and the other a PSA on menstruation stigma.
Being the only editor for both of these videos broadened my editing techniques, including how to keep yourself awake before a deadline. In all seriousness though, I learned so much and this is only the beginning.

January 30th, I attended the ICE Out protest in Eugene, Oregon. The week before, fellow journalism students had been teargassed and pepper balled following a day of protest outside the federal building, and similar things happened the day I attended.
Documenting this gave me hope. People are making themselves heard in a time where compliance is forcibly encouraged. We the people are strong.
